Assam College Student Sets Guinness World Record by Writing Book in Nine Hours

Rajdeep Kashyap, a BSc Botany student at Nalbari College, has achieved a remarkable milestone by entering the Guinness World Records for authoring a book within a record-breaking nine hours. His philosophical work titled Jonmo Prem Mrityu – Kisu Byogyanik Kisu Aaloukik (Birth Love Death – Some Scientific Some Supernatural) explores themes of birth, love, and death across 63 pages.
To meet Guinness World Records criteria, Rajdeep initially faced a challenge in providing video evidence of his writing process. However, with the support of his college principal, he successfully substantiated his achievement.
Inspired by a news story about another student from Rajasthan who wrote a book in three days, Rajdeep began his writing endeavor on May 24 at 3:55 pm, completing it by 1:02 am the following day. Despite a brief 30-minute dinner break, he crafted the entire book in one continuous session.
In an interview, Rajdeep shared that writing remains a passion rather than a career aspiration. His achievement joins a growing list of impressive records set by individuals from Assam, including Nayanmoni Hazarika from Lakhimpur, who recently gained recognition in the India Book of Records for his unique artistic accomplishment.
